NOTES FOR COMPUTER STORIES

1. A small fire in a machine room, which cuts circuits and closes circuits and the machines begins to think. Its typewriter clatters away, giving formulas from test cases lying in its memory. It types love odes, and marvels at itself and at its dying, then it burns to a crisp, and the designers sigh: "It wouldn't have worked anyway."

2. Won't the transportation of the future in crowded cities involved programmed helicopter transportation services?
